- Has 2 teeth: bottom left is in quite a bit and the bottom right has barely popped through. Raylie handles teething pretty well. She is a little more clingy and fussy but not too bad. Mostly she just wants to be held and won't entertain herself as much.
- Raylie is 3 1/2 inches shorter than Ryder at this age. She still fits in some of her 0-3 months clothes!
- Gets cranky in the afternoon/evening and wants to eat real food. So far she really likes applesauce. She also likes to drink water out of her sippy cup.
- Reaches out to touch, or grab, things that are in front of her.
- Does not love to roll over. She has done it once, and now she only rolls to her side and back again. She could easily go to her stomach but she chooses to go back onto her back.
- Only likes her front pack if she is ready to sleep or is facing out in the Baby Bjorne. If she is awake she wants to be held facing out so she can wiggle.
- Similarly, she only really likes to be in her stroller if she is ready to sleep. Even with it sitting up more she cries if she is awake.
- Enjoys listening to books that I read to Ryder.
- Still thinks that Ryder is the most hilarious person on the planet. She giggles and smiles at him more than anybody.
- Likes to sit in her jumper and play with the toys.
- Poops every 3 days or so. (It still seems weird to me that it's not every day even though she has been like this since she was a month old.)
- Sleeps in bed with us. She falls asleep nursing and holding on to her stuffed Tiger, "Smelly." She wakes up about 2-4 times a night. However, she just nurses and falls right back to sleep so it's not a big deal. Most days I feel very refreshed and not tired. It's awesome!
- Takes a couple short naps during the day and one longer nap. It sort of depends on if we are home or if we are out and about.
- Everywhere we go she gets a lot of compliments on her eyes. They are big and beautiful and people notice them!
- In the car, if Raylie is crying Ryder will hold her hand to try and help her feel better. Also, anytime that Ryder falls asleep in the car he is always holding her hand. It is so sweet!
Stories about Raylie as she grows up and, because it is inevitable, stories about the rest of her family!

Applesauce and a Ponytail
Raylie tried her first food! Applesauce was the only thing we had that was suitable and since she was being grumpy while we ate dinner it had to do. She was definitely making a fuss that she wanted to try some food and let me tell you, she got super excited about it! As soon as she saw the spoon she would get all excited and reach out, grab the spoon or my hand, and shove it in her mouth. It was hilarious! She pretty much ate it all and barely any dribbled out. I was impressed!
The next day I played around and gave Raylie her very first ponytail. It was so adorable and hilarious!

Fourth of July Shenanigans
For the fourth of July we went down to the Red House in Garibaldi. Raylie is a trooper but will only *sometimes* sleep in the car if we are going over 50 mph and the windows are cracked open. She cried half the way to Garibaldi but by some miracle she and Ryder both slept all the way home! The beach was so warm and had no wind on the fourth. It felt like a California beach! The next day was slightly cooler and windy but still fun. The older kids played in the outlet and in the sand, but Raylie spent most of her time sleeping in the front pack.

Rollin in Waldport
Raylie, Ryder and I went down to Waldport to visit Jonathan while he was working on his parent's house. In the morning Ryder and I were talking to a very smiley Raylie Marie. She was wiggling around as we talked and finally she rolled from her back to her front! She doesn't seem to love it since she doesn't do it very often. However, she doesn't seem to mind being on her tummy like Ryder did.
The next day we visited with Raylie's Great-Grandma Flossie Marie (98 years old) at her retirement home. She thought Raylie was so cute and was so excited to show her off and tell the other people about it at dinner. Later that day we all went for a walk on the Alsea Bay. We looked for crabs and visited a "cave." Raylie slept in the front pack the whole time, but Ryder had fun exploring the beach. It was a beautiful, sunny day and so much fun!
During this trip Raylie also got to meet her adorable second cousin, Sawyer Brooks Wangerin. He is a handsome little man and they were so cute together!
